Some very important short points about our Constitution….
I get a lot of questions about how we are supposed to take back or clean up government when our Constitution only allows us the process of elections.
Other more zealous types fire up and say the solution is our 2nd Amendment because our only power is through armed revolution.
Both thoughts are incorrect and easily remedied with a deeper view of what our true constitutional rights are in real life applications.
The first thing one must always remember about our Constitution is that it only exists to limit and control actions and scope of the federal government. This while protecting specific rights that enable us to do whatever is necessary to keep that government in its place.
For example; consider impeachment of a President. Many think that process is the only constitutional pathway for removing a President who needs it. False!
Our Constitution contains impeachment guidelines because that is the only way other government officials can remove a President. It does not in any way limit or define methods for the People to force a President or any other official out of office. We have freedom to force removal by an infinite number of methods limited only by our imaginations. National strikes are an obvious option. Our Constitution only limits how government can accomplish that goal.
So, those who think elections are the only process for us to force change are missing the purpose of our Constitution. Election outlines are listed in it to guarantee the feds cannot deny us the right to have them for specific seats on a specific schedule. In no way does that definition restrict or limit our power to do as we must when we need to. Again we have options limited only by our imaginations. This is a very broad power of freedoms almost beyond comprehension but now misunderstood by citizens who think government is in control of things. Wrong. We are in control if people would just start taking our Constitution seriously.
As for those who believe the government can trample us until we start shooting, wrong again. That idea shows they are blind to the vast middle room of being responsible, creative and forceful to keep officials subservient to us.
A lot of political junkies chest thump about our Constitution but have never been exposed to resources outside of party influence that accurately explain what it is really about.
Our freedom to maintain power within the People is only limited by ourselves.
It doesn’t matter if people self identify as liberals, conservatives or any other convenient go-to label. Very few Americans today are true constitutionalists because they accept the feeling of having limits to what they can do or what is allowed.
True freedom of the kind available to each of us comes from understanding our Constitution is there to box them in but the boxes for us are outlawed.
If you truly desire to be a patriotic constitutionalist, think outside the box.
