Another huge budget tossed out at the last minute to keep gov’t from shutting down. An emergency bill to pass quickly with no time for study and contemplation or input from us because it wasn’t done in time for that.
A 1665 page budget we all know congressmen will not read before they vote on it.
I guess we have to pass the budget before we learn what is in it.
Sound familiar?
We are already learning a lot. Enough to see why they wanted it out too late for us to raise alarms about. There is no time for us peons who foot the bill to organize opposition or demand changes.
This from the GOP Congress conservatives keep telling us is our best hope for restoring America.
I suggest we stop listening to conservatives and try hearing what our Founders instructed us to do in times like these.
Has America already forgotten GW had the House & Senate too with similar results? The GOP failed so horribly Democrats were able to capitalize and stage a comeback that led to 8 years of Obama. Eight years marked by GOP refusal to fight back or prosecute serious crimes in DC. Eight years of implementation of Obamacare with GOP promises to end it only to learn they don’t have a plan ready or the united resolve to develop one.
Conservatives are offering the same reaction they have perfected over decades of failure- blame everyone else. “Oh it’s the RINOs!” Really? While conservatives are doing the same thing?
Why does no one ever point out that when conservatives blame everyone else they are actually saying they have failed to lead or build political power and alliances necessary to achieve goals in the system we have?
Why can Democrats do it so well they can extract a multitude of budget gifts from a Congress they do not control?
The reasonable conclusion must be that the GOP Congress is acting to please the same motives of donors that Democrats do. They certainly aren’t serving us.
Now we have Rush Limbaugh and others leading gullible voters to blame Trump if the budget their precious GOP wrote gets put before him for signature.
They will blame anyone but conservatives, as always.
For 50 years conservatives have been telling us to ignore our Founders. They tell us we MUST keep the GOP and in some future magical time conservatives will seize control of the party and fix everything wrong with America!
Fifty years ago it was worth a try. Thirty years ago it became a proven failure.
Along came syndicated talk radio led by Rush and his perpetual glorification of the failed conservatism and here we are. Struggling with 50 years of conservative failure, socialist victories, continued GOP disappointments and Republican voters can’t comprehend why.
How much more obvious does it have to be? The GOP is a bad bet. It is insanely ridiculous to follow the advice of conservative radio gods or their gullible fans who STILL tell us to vote for the GOP because we can’t let Dems win. Our current budget proposal proves voting GOP gives Democrats plenty of winning. It was even the most conservative faction of the GOP Congress who stepped up to block the first phase of ending the ObamaCare they were elected to crush.
But don’t try telling the obvious to conservatives. National radio gods, and a few left on Fox, still provide them with ways to blame others while believing in the dream of a GOP even as they are shafted by them. How crazy is this?
Our Founders warned all of this would happen. When Franklin announced our form of government he said, “We have given you a Republic- IF you can keep it.”
He was referring to their fears future generations would submit to entrenched parties uniting to serve themselves and cronies. Just exactly what we have.
Just exactly what Rush, Beck, Hannity, Savage and others all tell you to keep. In spite of failures, shafting, debt and decline. Our Founders wrote extensively about the importance of replacing parties to protect our power and preserve our freedoms and nation.
These frauds will not tell you this and conservatives don’t care. They want the GOP they hate because media tells them to want it.
Now these people want Trump to reject the budget proposed by the party they refuse to abandon.
We are in dangerous times with a weakened global position.Trump is now rebuilding alliances and putting enemies on notice as he must carefully negotiate avoiding WW3 the liberals and conservatives have left the world in danger of.
The entire world watches closely as they begin to consider trusting us in perilous times behind the leadership of a President who is taking charge.
And this party hack idiot Rush Limbaugh wants a gov’t shutdown so his failed cronies can play political games to save face for midterm reelection donations and votes? Shut down for the world to watch as we ask them to follow our lead? Seriously?
No. No more halts in critical times to satisfy conservatives who aren’t even patriotic enough to honor our Founders and reject a GOP that doesn’t even want them. Conservatives voted for those who have a habit of delivering Democrat budgets. Wake up or shut up but grow up and admit contributing to the problem.
Constitutional Patriots tried to tell conservatives all of this would happen, that we need a new party.
Conservatives and their pundits only want to conserve the GOP. So now we have the Dem budget none of them read. Trump can only choose battles wisely and work with parties voters have hobbled him with.
Voters need to realize that.
Own it.
You voted for it.
