In a few short days we have seen more reporting on dividing families of illegals than we have of all the great progress accomplished by President Trump.
Democrats and many Republicans in Congress express “outrage” at enforcement of these laws they created themselves. The policy is long established and was enforced by the Obama Administration.
Modern election year politics in America always seem to gravitate to the families and children.
Ironically, the lefties with policies favoring fatherless families and murdering the unborn usually lead the charge. We are supposed to believe these people care more about the children who are fortunate enough to escape Democrat abortions.
Homeland Security separates children temporarily. Democrats have the blood of more than 40 million permanent “separations” on their hands.
It amazes me to see their voters being gullible enough to fall for the stage acts time after time.
The current media frenzy over separation of illegal immigrant families renders more proof that some voters think and believe whatever media commands them to.
As the father of 4, I can say we never considered any behavior that would put us at risk of having our kids taken away. No way would we have illegally entered another nation with our kids. No responsible parent takes the kids along to commit a crime.
On a personal level I have known many good immigrants with children who came in legally. They never put their families at risk and they achieved the goal of a future here.
Parents who enter illegally do their kids no favors because the parents themselves are in no position to gain the security of a job, home and independent living.
If their homelands are impoverished lands of crime and danger why in the heck are they having kids there? Many have several kids then try sneaking in here. Is that the life planning of a responsible parent?
Listening to reporters and other frauds with their one-sided whining about the issue is frustrating. Every statement they make can be overcome by basic common sense.
There is no rational logic against separating incarcerated criminals from their children.
All modern societies do it daily as parents charged with crimes encounter justice systems. No civilized nation incarcerates children with parents who are arrested and charged with crimes.
The media frenzy surrounding the issue is simply a calculated effort to damage Trump. Nothing more. But the policies were in place and in use long before we had a President Trump.
While the reporting blitz began as a Dem/press scheme, plenty of Republican politicians are carefully maneuvering to exploit the opportunity.
GOP insiders hate Trump as much now as they did when he crushed the Chosen Ones in the 2016 primaries. It shows.
Laura Bush lept to represent the party by blaming Trump and calling the separations an immoral outrage. Now we have one more reason to buy the Bush family one way tickets to El Salvador. Once again we see past GOP big shots proving they never really were on our side.
Representing the Cubanadian Caucus of our Senate Ted Cruz has now magically produced a bill he claims will fix all the immigrant family issues. Did he really create an entire, completed bill in a few days or did he know in advance the attack was coming? You decide.
Cruz is a master at pretending to support Trump with words while undermining him with actions. When he and other establishment actors get a chance to stab The Donald they do it. How many of them do you see grabbing microphones or writing press releases to defend Trump on this? I’ve seen Cruz speak about it but I am waiting to hear him say Congress created the policy and the President is merely following the law.
Always the masters of activism, Democrats have organized an emergency gathering of US mayors at the border. They will be there protesting what they call “Trump policies” of separation. This is another stage act; a performance for the cameras to sway the minds of gullible voters. This time the Democrats will be joined by an equal number of Republicans.
As usual, when it is time for the GOP to unite in support of truth and Trump they choose to join with Democrats or stay silent.
There is nothing to this story but bad parenting and the defense of border jumping criminals.
The best political solution is still a wall and secure borders which prevent bad parents from introducing their children to criminal behavior.
Now can we start discussing crimes by Hillary, Obama, bureaucrats and the systemic corruption of a rigged system?
We voted to drain the swamp, not to create special camps for the comfort of families who should not be here.
If common sense still influenced policy the fastest fix would be to immediately haul these families back across the border. All safely united on the same Homeland Security bus.
