If everyone is soooo serious about hoping Trump wins in 2020, why are so many “supporters” sabotaging his efforts?
Are they totally blind to how the political process works?
Elections 101: You have campaigns where you and supporters try to convince as many people as possible to vote for you. The person with the most votes wins. Got that?
This means you do not DRIVE AWAY voters Trump needs you to be winning over. You must grow numbers for your side to get elected. That means you steal as many voters as possible from the other guys.
Right now a lot of Democrats are upset with what is happening with the crazy left holding reins in D.C. Not all Dems are savage socialists. Do you want to steal them for Trump or convince them they are hated and not wanted on Team Trump?
Just where do you expect new votes to come from if not the engaged but unhappy voters of center left? Yes we have swing voters, you can’t count on all of them. It is political foolishness to decide there are votes you do not want or need.
If I was a Democrat ready to jump ship and came over to see what our side is about, I’ll be damned if I would want to enlist among most conservatives.
What do those people hear when checking out Trump voters?
“Oh those Democrats are all lazy basement dwelling baby eaters who want everything for free after grabbing your guns.”
Is THAT what any sane person thinks will win voters? Do you really want to win or not?
The entire principle behind a campaign is PERSUADING people to join you based on IDEAS. For the love of God, don’t people realize if they say they are Trump supporters maybe he’d appreciate it if you’d stop running off potential new voters and try scoring a few of them?
Too many people are letting soundbite prostitutes like Mark Levin and Rush teach them how to talk and respond. Those guys are not any type of leaders. they are merely stage actors amusing people with political entertainment while working to protect the establishment just as CNN & MSNBC Democrats do. They throw out what they think you want to hear so you feel elevated and better than “the other guys.” Stroking your ego may be seductive enough to ensure your place in the audience but if you repeat their behavior in real life you are working against the President you think you support.
A lot of people are familiar with the #walkaway Democrats. There are even more ready to jump ship for 2020. What do your own personal words and actions do to persuade them to join Trump voters? A lot of good people are Democrats who just grew up learning different lessons than us. If they have woken up and decided to look at life in our camp, why throw rocks at them and chase them back? Do you enjoy political suicide?
No matter what you want, Trump NEEDS votes including every single new vote he can get. Try appealing to those ready to walk away. Stop acting like every one of them is part of the insane lunatic crowd on the far left socialist fringe. No matter what national conservative TV & radio blowhards tell you, they are not.
It would help Trump immensely if his own team would wake up and realize not all Democrats are the same and many are available. Persuade them, stop treating them all like the worst among them. Welcome them in because NUMBERS win elections and the way things are going, we’ll need every vote.
Texas may be lost. You want to run off more voters from there? Michigan and Ohio may be lost. Chase them away too?
We have to think this through and if we say we are Team Trump we should actually act like it. Do nothing more to damage the man you want around for 4 more years.
