We all know midterm elections get an irritated yawn and low turnout from the public in general. Gubernatorial races are creating more heat this time than battles for seats in DC.
The federal level shenanigans in this campaign season reveal truth the media and parties try to keep quiet. It is not enough for them to look the other way. They have to focus public attention on the distractions to keep citizens from getting fed up and revolting against both parties.
Intelligent observers can see the GOP has managed to execute party plans for losing the House of Representatives. I’ve written about that strategy for over a year.
The GOP probably planned to give up the House as soon as they realized Trump would keep promises and walk his talk. If the Republicans accidentally keep a majority in our House it won’t be because they deserve it. It will come from votets hoping to protect Trump from Democrat lunacy.
Our Senate is a coin toss. It will be high drama because one or 2 seat changes can have a huge impact. If our Senate flips, Democrats can severely hobble Trump.
If the GOP keeps it they have two more years of weakly pretending to support Trump while they hobble him with inaction.
Considering the fact that 100 Senators get more personal attention and temptations from Bribe & Deal teams than 435 House members do, this race is a coin toss.
More power weilded by Senators brings more cash and corruption to the process that seats them……or keeps them out of seats. Another fact media affiliates of both parties neglect to mention.
The state races concern me much more than federal contests. Those will be the real barometer of the public mood and direction.
The national conservative TV & radio stars have all been wrong about the condition and strength of the Democrat machine. But then, those people rarely comprehend or define reality very well.
I am concerned about Democrat wins in state races. As I have said all along, Dems have not been broke or struggling to fund challenges. They are not in chaos and stumbling to find a message. They are not leaderless, in shambles and too disorganized to be on their way back.
This misinformation promoted by right wing media (GOP media whether they admit it or not) has all been lousy analyzing or deliberate lies. You decide which.
Democrats are a real threat, rising stars are more socialist and bizarre than the old team they are replacing.
These people must be stopped. Votes against them must be cast before they slither into our system. The state and local races are where the left is hoping to solidify the foundation from which they will build to destroy Trump in 2020.
They MUST not have a Day of Glory in critical state races.
But they have the advantage in far too many.
Go vote.
Take friends, neighbors and relatives but DO NOT sit it out.
The left will be there.
